I love this so hard. It pains me to see young women joining the ‘I don’t need feminism because — ‘ ranks, when they just don’t understand what life was like for women before feminism changed things so radically. I almost want to take them back to the dark ages, then gently slap them for taking everything we have now as a result of those women, that seems invisible because they just take it for granted it is like that naturally and has always been like that. No, women rose up and the sweat of their idea and labour paved the way so that we could choose to be whatever we want — whether it be something completely radical, or hardline traditional, or anything in between — and actually have a choice rather than it just being that one option. Thank you for this, love your angle on what an inconvenience it was to your childhood.
