So, was I right?

The Netflix doco Harry and Meghan has met with varying reaction, from one extreme of support to the other.

If you’ve read my take on their relationship and, in particular, the motivation behind Meghan’s actions, you’ll already know that I’m no fan of the Sussexes.

My opinion as it stands, before viewing any of the episodes, is that the ability to buy into their story hinges on an individual’s willingness to believe them to be acting in good faith, motivated by genuine in-the-moment emotions, in the scenes captured in this doco. And while I might be willing to give Harry some benefit of the doubt, I’m sorry, but I give Meghan none.

And so, it is in this decidedly cynical frame of mind that I have decided to watch the documentary, and note my thoughts, feelings and reactions for each episode, which I will link to this article.

It could be a long haul. Wish me luck.
