Thank you so much Amy, this should be taught as a tool for dealing with emotions and internal monologue everywhere. I get caught in my brain and often get sabotaged by emotions which I try hard to discount, all while my internal critique is running wild agreeing with any negative input from others. This process makes sense to my personal thought/feeling style in that it allows room to deal with the emotion then externalise and productively process the criticism rather than add it to the catalogue of un-dealt-with internal guff. More useful and cheaper than all that therapy! Many thanks.
